Laboratory Testing for Asbestos
RJ Lee Group can test for asbestos in building material, raw materials, air, water, and dust samples using three different analytical techniques: Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM), Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM), and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).
Asbestos is a commercial term that refers to a group of six naturally occurring, highly fibrous minerals. Asbestos was used in a wide variety of applications due to its unique physical properties. It was utilized historically as a component in many residential and industrial building materials. When the materials are disturbed, either during renovations or remediations, asbestos can be released into the surrounding environment.
