Columbia Basin Analytical Laboratories holds a low level Radiological License through the Washington State Department of Health, Office of Radiation Protection. This credential allows us to offer certain radiological services, and receive, analyze and dispose of IH and environmental samples with low-levels radioactivity, primarily for our Department of Energy clients. CBAL routinely and safely performs PLM, PCS, TEM and SEM analysis on radiological asbestos samples as one of the only Radiological/Asbestos labs in the country. We maintain personnel trained to perform radiological surveys, analysts trained to handle and process samples safely, and senior personnel with radiological safety officer/radiological shipper credentials.
